here 30%= 270
so 1% = 270/30 =9
hence 100% = 100× 9= 900

Thank you for asking this question. First of all we will find the number of participants which actually completed the run:

30% of men completed the marathon and in numbers 270 men completed it.

30% = 270

1% = 270 ÷ 30

= 9

100% = 9 x 100

= 900

Now we will find the number of participants:

In numbers they are 900 and in percentage they are 90%

So, 90% = 900

1% = 900 ÷ 90

= 10

100% = 10 x 100

= 1000

So the final answer is 1000
