Let x be the original number of people.
• 9000/x is what each person initially gets.
After increasing 20 px, each person gets 160 less.
Therefore,
(9000/x+20)=(9000/x) - 160
Solve this for X and we get:
x=-45 or x=25

Since it can't be negative, original Number of Persons=25

As you see that total sum of money=9000 rs
Let the total people =x
Then each gets=9000/x
And if total people increased =x+20
Then each get=9000/x+20
As per question each get 160 rs less so
We get an eqn
9000/x -9000/x+20=160
Solving quadratic ylu get x=-45 and x=25
And person cant be -ve so x= 25
