958- 125=833
833-100=733 (125-25)
733-75=658 (100-25)
658-50=608 (75-25)
608-25=583 (50-25)
∴ next number = 583

the series comes by deducting 25 from each no.
958 - 833 = 125
next will be 125-25 = 100
833 - 733 = 100
next will be 100-25 = 75
733 - 658 = 75
next will be 75-25 = 50
658 - 608 = 50
hence the next no will be deducted by 25 as 50-25=25
608 - x = 25
608+25 = x
583=x
