Answer:

1. 96% of cost of a TV=10464

Remaining 4%= {(10464/96)x4}

ie 109x4

total cost=10464+109+109+109+109

Total Cost- ₹10900 Ans.

2. 70 percent students are boys

30 percent will be girls

no. of girls =504

So 504 girls=30%

1% of students= 504/30

=18

Percent of boys=70

Total no. of boys=70x18

=1260 boys Ans.

Answer 1:-

The total cost of the T.V is Rs. 10900

Let us assume that the cost of the TV is Rs x

So the 96% of the TV is:-

 \mathsf{ (x \times(\frac{96}{100}))=\frac{96 x}{100}}

It is given that, 96% of the cost of a TV is Rs.10464

Hence we can say,

\hookrightarrow  \sf\frac{96 x}{100} = 10464</p><p>

\hookrightarrow  \sf96 x=10464 \times 100

\hookrightarrow \sf{96x=10464×100}

\hookrightarrow \sf x=\frac{10464 \times 100}{96}=10900

  • So, the cost of the TV is Rs 10900

Answer 2:-

Using formula of percentage

 \implies \tt30\%\ of\ X=50430

 \implies \tt{\dfrac{30}{100}\times X=504 }

 \implies \tt{X=504\times\dfrac{100}{30}}

 \implies \tt{X=1680}

  • We need to calculate the number of boys in the school

X=number of girls + Number of boys

Put the value into the formula

 \tt{1680=504 + Number\ of\ boys}

 \implies \tt {Number\ of\ boys=1680-504}

 \implies \tt{Number\ of\ boys=1176}

  • Hence, The number of boys in the school is 1176.
