question \: \\ find \: {(97)}^{2} using \: the \: formula \: \\ {(a - b)}^{2} = {a}^{2} + {b }^{2} - 2ab

Answer

we \: know \: that \\ 100 - 3 = 97 \\ therefore \: {(100 - 3)}^{2} = {(97)}^{2} \\ \: by \: usin g\: the \: formula \: {(a - b)}^{2} = {a}^{2} + {b}^{2} - 2ab \\ {(100 - 3)}^{2} = {100}^{2} + {3}^{2} - 2 \times 100 \times 3 \\ = > {(97)}^{2} = 10000 + 9 - 600 \\ = > {(97)}^{2} = 10009 - 600 \\ = > {(97)}^{2} = 9409

therefore (97)^2=9409
