Given :-

  • Car A runs 19 m in a second.
  • car B runs 20 m in a second.

To Find :-

  • In 1 km race, car B beats car A by ?

Solution :-

→ Speed of car B = 20 m / s .

so,

→ Time taken by car B to finish 1 km race = Distance / speed = 1000 / 20 = 50 seconds.

then,

→ Distance coverd by car A in 50 seconds = speed * time = 19 * 50 = 950 m .

therefore,

→ car B beats car A by = 1000 - 950 = 50 m . (Ans.)
