Given:

98 is a term in an Ap

To Find:

Whether 2016 is a term in Ap

Solution:

Given that the common difference of the Ap is 7.

If (2016 – 98) is a multiple of  7(Common difference)

then,2016 is a term for the arithmetic sequence.

2016 – 98 = 1918

1918/7 = 274

When we consider 98 as the first term of the AP then the 275 term of the Ap will be 2016.
