various factors are the natural disasters, microorganisms attack, etc.They digradise their quality. By putting them in safe places this can be prevented.

⏩⏩A) Factors responsible for loss of grains, during storage and production are:

        (a) Biotic factors like rodents, pests, insects, etc.

        (b) Abiotic factors like temperature, humidity, moisture, etc.


⏩B) Combination of both biotic and abiotic factors causes :

             (i) infestation of insects

             (ii) weight loss

             (iii) poor germination ability

             (iv) degradation in quality

             (v) discolouration

             (vi) poor market price


⏩ C) The storage room should be dry and moisture free. It should be packed with no windows as birds cannot harm the grains. If it is stored in a container for householder use,the container should be dry and you can put some turmeric and neem leaves to avoid bacteria.
