(98)²

METHOD 1 :

(98)²

(100 - 2)²

×××××××××××××
By identity, (a - b)² = a² + b² - 2ab
×××××××××××××××

(100)² + (2)² - 2(2 × 100)

10000 + 4 - 400

10004 - 400

9604

=============

Method 2 :

(98)²

(90 + 8)²

(90)² + (8)² + 2(8×90)

8100 + 64 + 1440

9604

I hope this will help you

Hello friends!!

Here is your answer :

 {(98)}^{2}

 =  >  {(100 - 2)}^{2}

Using identity :

( a - b )² = a² + b² - 2ab

 =  >  {(100)}^{2}  +  {(2)}^{2}  - 2(100)(2)

 =  > 10000 + 4 - 400

 =  > 10004 - 400

 =  > 9604

Hope it helps you.. ^_^
