i would explain to him that there is no need to be afraid of water and first i will help him overcome his fear of water and if im successful then i would persuade him to learn swimming

i would explain him the benefits of swimming and would explain him that not everyone have the same talent ,,,God may found you the best for this that is ,, why he should join it ,,also i would explain him that these types of barriers would in come in your life it is all up to you how you treat with them
