Answer:

Acceleration is the rate of change of velocity.

SI unit= m/s sq (metre per second square)

Displacement is the distance between the initial and final positions of an object.

SI unit= m (metre)

Acceleration = VELOCITY/ TIME

Displacement= DISTANCE/ TIME (Distance is the difference between final and initial positions)

ACCELERATION - its is the rate of change of velocity in per unit of time

Acceleration = change in velocity / time

(A = V/T)

DISPLACEMENT - it is the distance between the final position of the object and the initial position of the object

  • (if the object started from A and stoped at A then the displacement is 0 but the distance covered is X) [case 1]

  • (if the object starts from A and stops at B distance between AB is 10km then displacement is 10 km ) [case 2]

  • (if the object starts from A goes to B and comes to C then displacement will be AC NOT ABC)[case 3]

displacement formula is

s = ut+ 1/2 at²
