When the starry spheres rise high in the sky , the poet loves to lie on his bed in the cottage he listens to the pitter-patter sound of the rain. Poet says that every tinkle on the shingles has an echo in the heart.As he listens to the sound of the rain he begins to recollect his past , when he was a little kid !! The single major memory that comes to poet is his mother , the way she used to care for him , make him sleep , the way she used to love him . He just feels the affectionate look of his mother still being seen by him and feels the love his mother showed on him during the rain . Morever , he used to recollect the "darling dreamers" are the poet and his siblings the way their mother has immense love on them made them to be darlings and how she makes them sleep with her sweet lullabies with her sweet voice !!The poet can still feel that his mother is looking at him as he listens to the song made by the rain drops falling on the roof top of his room.He correlates his past with his present when it rains !!
