9x - 4 - 3 ( x - 4 ) = 4 ( x - 1 )
9x - 4 - 3x + 12 = 4x - 4
9x - 3x - 4x = - 4 + 4 - 12
2x = - 12
x = -6

9x-4-3(x-4)=4(x-1)

9x-4-3x+12=4x-4

9x-3x-4x = 4-12-4

9x-7x = 4-16

2x = -12

x = -12/2 = -6

thank you so much.
