Given - Volume - 0.355l

Weight of sucrose - 45.5g

Molecular weight of sucrose - 342.4 g/mol

Find - Molar concentration or molarity

Answer - Molarity of a solution is defined as the number of moles of solute per litre of solution.

It is mathematically expressed as -

M = n/V

In the equation, M is molarity, n is number of moles and V is volume in litres.

Number of moles is defined as ratio of weight and molecular weight.

Keeping the values in equation-

M = (45.5/342.4)/0.355

M = 0.374 molar.

According to rule of significant figures, leading zeroes don't count, three significant figures in the number are - 374.
