A 0.500 L sample of air has a temperature of 90 °C at 1 atm. The temperature and pressure dropped to 20 °C and 0.89 atm, what volume of air would be in the cylinder? (answer in Liters)

P1=1atm

V1=0.5L

T2=90°C

P2=0.89atm

V2=?

T2=20°C

0.5×1/90=0.89×V2/20

V2=0.9889 if temperature is in celcius

if t is in kelvin

k=c+273

90+273=363k

20+273=293k

so

0.5×1/363=0.89×V2/293

0.4534L if temperature is in kelvin
