Answer :

{ A = \Big\{x : x =  \dfrac{1}{4n},n \: \epsilon   \: \mathbb N  \: and  \: 1 \leqslant n \leqslant 12\Big \}}

Remember that in the set builder form, we have to write the common properties and the form of all the elements of set rather than writing all the elements.

In the given set (which is in the tabular form), we can see that element of A can be expressed as 1/4n, where n is a Natural number (expressed by capital bold letter N) and n is equal to 1, 2, 3, 4 upto 12 terms.

Symbols used in set:

  • \epsilon is the symbol for "belongs to".

  • \mathbb N is the symbol for set of all natural numbers.

  • : is the symbol for "such that".

The given set in the set builder form will be pronounced correctly as,

A is the set of all x such that x is of the form 1/4n where n belongs to all natural numbers and value of n is from 1 to 12.

More:-

  • Set is a collection of unique objects.

  • In a set all elements are distinct and should not be repeated.

  • Set is usually donated by a capital letter.
