The length of park= 40 m

The breadth of the park= 30m

The length of outer rectangle(path and park)=40+1.5+1.5=43m

The breadth of outer rectangle=30+1.5+1.5=33m

The perimeter of the fence=2(40+30)=2*70m=140m

THe area of outer rectangle=43m * 33m=1419 m2

the area of the park= 40m * 30m= 1200m2

The area of the path= 1419-1200

219 m2

 \bf \huge \: Question \: \:

  • A 1.5 metre wide Footpath runs along the fans outside a Paak of 40 m long and 30 metre wide what is the perimeter of the fence and what is the area of the footpath

 \bf \huge \:To \: Find\:

  • what is the perimeter of the fence ?

  • what is the area of the footpath ?

______________________

 \bf \huge \:Given\: \:

  • The length of the park is 40m

  • Breadth of the park is 30m.

______________________

 \bf \: applying\: \: the\: \: Formula \: \: of \: \: area \: \:

we have formula,

area of the park = l×b

Putting the value of l and b from formula

= 40×30

on multiplying

= 1200m²

 \bf \huge \:Given\: \:

if the 1.5m path runs outside the park all around, then the length of the path

parallel to the length of the park will be = 40+1.5+1.5

 \bf \huge\: on\: \: adding\: \:

= 40+3

= 43m

______________________

length of the parallel to the breadth of the park will be = 30+1.5+1.5

 \bf \huge\: on\: \: adding\: \:

= 30+3

= 33m

 \bf \: applying\: \: the\: \: Formula \: \: of \: \: area \: \:

area of the park along with the path = l×b

Putting the value of l and b from formula

= 43×33

On multiplying

= 1419m²

______________________

now,

area of the path = 1419-1200

on substation

= 219m²

______________________

 \bf \: applying\: \: the\: \: Formula \: \: of \: \: perimeter\: fence \:

perimeter of the fence = 2(l+b)

Putting the value of l and b from formula

= 2(40+30)

= 2×70

______________________

On multiplying

= 140m

hence the perimeter of the fence is 140m
