∴ AP² = x²

∴ [(x – 5 )² + (y – 0)² ] = x²

∴ x ² – 10x + 25 + y ² = x²∴ – 10x + 25 + y ² = 0

∴ y ² – 10x + 25 =0

Hence required equation of the locus is y ² – 10x + 25 = 0
