Find the perimeter of a triangle whose sides

are in the ratio 3:4:5 and the longest side is 15 cm

Answer:

Perimeter of triangle = 36 cm

Let the sides of triangle are

3x , 4x and 5x

Then

According to the given condition

Largest side of triangle = 15 cm

Our suppose largest side of  triangle = 5x

SO

                 5x = 15 cm

           ⇒     x = 3 cm

Thus Our sides are become

First side = 3x = 3(3) = 9 cm

Second side = 4x = 4(3) = 12 cm

Third side = 5x = 5(3) = 15 cm

We known that

Perimeter of Triangle = sum of sides

Putting values we get

Perimeter of Triangle = 9 + 12 + 15 = 36 cm

Thus the perimeter of triangle = 36 cm
