A 10 centimetre tall object is placed perpendicular to the principal axis of a convex lens of focal length 12 CM the distance of the object from the lens is 18 cm find the nature position and size of image formed

According to the given information, we can take:

The height of object as 10cm

The Focal length as 12 cm

The distance of object as -18cm

In this process, we need to find the image distance.

So, 1/v+1/u=1/f

1/v= 1/12-1/18

1/v=3/36-2/36

1/v=1/36

The value of  v=36cm.

Now m=36/-18

Finally, we can get the value of m=-2
