A 10 g fuel sample was analysed by Eschka method for the sulphur content in which 15 ml
HNO3 was used to oxidize the sulphur into sulphate followed by 10 ml BaCl2 was used to get
the BaSO4 precipitates. The residues were dried in oven at about 125 oC. The dried residue
weight was found 0.35 g. Calculate the percentage of sulphur present in a given fuel sample.
