Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Given :-

Wall dimensions :-

Length = l = 10 m = 1000 cm

Breadth = b = 42 cm

Height = h = 5 m = 500 cm

Brick dimensions :-

Length = l = 42 cm

Breadth = b = 12 cm

Height = h = 10 cm

To Find :-

Number of bricks required to built wall.

Formula to be used :-

Volume of the wall/brick = lbh

Number of bricks required = Volume of wall/Volume of brick

Solution :-

Volume of wall = lbh  = 1000 × 42 × 500  = 21000000 cm³

Volume of brick = lbh  = 42 × 12 × 10  = 5040 cm³

Number of bricks required = Volume of wall/Volume of  brick

Number of bricks required =  21000000/5040

Number of bricks required = 4167 bricks

Hence, 4167 bricks required to built wall.
