i think answer is 16

geetacharan: or not
Micromax156: yes 16
geetacharan: 300+100=400
geetacharan: speed=distance /time
geetacharan: convert 90kmph into m/s
geetacharan: u get 25m/s
geetacharan: time=400/25
geetacharan: answer is 16
geetacharan: ok

Given:

Length of train = 100m, speed = 90Km/h = 90\times 1000 = 90000m/hr

= \frac {90000} {3600} = 25 m/sec

Total distance to cross the tunnel completely by the train = length of tunnel + length of train

= 300m + 100m = 400m

Timetaken=\frac { Distance }{ Speed }

=\frac { 400m }{ 25m/sec }

= 16 seconds

Time taken to cross the tunnel completely = 16 seconds
