A 100 V, 60 W bulb is to be operated

Power = 60W

To find:-

Resistance

Ampere = Watts/Volts

= 60/100

= 0.6Amp.

We know that, R1 = V1/I

= 100/0.6

= 166.6667ohm.

By applying, R2 = V2/I

= 220/0.6

= 366.6667ohm.

R + 166.6667 = 366.6667

R = 366.6667-166.6667

R = 200ohm.
