Answer:

Explanation:

power of 1 electric bulb = 100w=0.1kw

energy =0.1 × 5 =0.5kwh

power of 2 bulb =60w=0.06kw

energy for 4 bulbs= 0.06×4×5=1.2 kwh

total energy= 0.5+1.2=1.7kwh

in month of jan ,total energy=1.7×31=52.7kwh

hope it'll help

Answer:

  • Total Energy consumed = 52.7 kwh

Explanation:

Given :

  • No. of. 100 W bulb = 1
  • No. of. 60 W bulbs = 4
  • Energy consumed by one 100 W bulb (E1) = 5 hr / day
  • Energy consumed by 4 60 W bulb (E2) = 5 hr / day

To find :

  • E Total

We know that,

No. of. days in January = 31 days.

Energy = Power × Time × No. of. Bulbs × No. of. Days

Case 1 :-

⟹ E = Power × Time × No. of. Bulbs × No. of. Days

⟹ E = 100 × 5 × 1 × 31

⟹ E = 3100 × 5

⟹ E = 15500 Wh

Case 2 :-

⟹ E = Power × Time × No. of. Bulbs × No. of. Days

⟹ E = 60 × 5 × 31 × 4

⟹ E = 37200 Wh

Converting into kilowatt :

⟹ Case 1 = 15500 / 1000 = 15.5 kwh

⟹ Case 2 = 37200 / 1000 = 37.2 kwh

Total Energy consumed = Case 1 + Case 2

⟹ 15.5 + 37.2

⟹ 52.7 kwh.

  • Hence, The total energy consumed = 52.7 kwh.
