a 10m ladder is leaning against a wall. The bottom of the ladder is 6m from the base of were the wall meets the ground. At what height from the ground does the ladder lean against the wall(with working)

h^2 = p^2 + b^2

=> p^2 = h^2-b^2

=> p^2 = (10)^2 - (6)^2

=> p^2 =100-36

=> p= √64

=> p= 8 m (ans.)
