BY PYTHAGORAS THEOREM :

 {x}^{2}  =  {10}^{2}  -  {8}^{2}  \\  \\  { x=  \sqrt{100 - 64}  }^{}  \\  \\ x =  \sqrt{36}  \\  \\ x = 6 \: metres.

HENCE VALUE OF X IS 6 M.
