❤GM ❤

energy of electron in the ground state of hydrogen atom

= -13.6eV

when beam of electrons of energy 12.9 electron volt Banbard hydrogen atom the energy of electron in the hydrogen atom,

= En = -13.6 + 12.9

= -0. 85eV

now using, En = -13. 6/n^2

we get n^2 = -13. 6/En

= -13. 6/0.85

= 16

n =4
