R=40ohm

so, current

I=V/R

I=12/40

I=0.3Ampere

now,

Power=V*I

P=12*0.3

P=3.6watt

P=3.6/1000 =0.0036kwatt

now, for energy dissipated in two minutes

E=P*t

E=0.0036*2/60=0.0012kwatthr
