A 128 g sample of oxygen gas reacts completely with excess nitrogen monoxide according to the following balanced chemical equation:

Explanation:

128 g O2 i. e = 128/32 = 4 moles

1mol O2 reacts with 7= 2 mol NO

So, 4 mol O2 will react with = 2x 4 mol NO

= 8 mol NO

and, 8 mol NO = 8 x 22.4l = 179.2 litre
