answer : option (d) 54°C

explanation : mass of aluminium block, m = 4kg

initial temperature of aluminium block, Ti = 10°C

heat is added to the block, H = 160kJ

specific heat capacity, S = 910 J/Kg.K

now using formula, H = mS∆T

⇒160kJ = 4kg × 910 J/kg.K × (Tf - 10°C)

⇒160 × 10³ = 4 × 910 × (Tf - 10)

⇒43.956 = Tf - 10

⇒Tf = 53.956 ≈ 54°C

hence, final temperature of aluminium block is 54°C
