Let the mass 4kg and 8kg be m and m'.

And final velocity be v and initial be u.

Now,

Given, m(v-u) = 20

4×( v - 0) = 20

Bomb is at rest.

V = 5 m/s

Now kinetic energy of m'

1/2 m' v^2

1/2 8 25 (v=5, m'=8)
