I think there is a mistake in a question..

Question:

A 150g ball travelling at 30m/s strikes the palm of the player's hand is stop him 0.05 s .find the force exerted by the ball on the hand.

Solution:

Given:

m = 150g =0.15kgu

u = 30m/s

v = 0m/s

t = 0.05sec

F=mxa

= 0.15 * (v-u)/t

= 0.15*(0-30)/0.05

= 3 x -30=

= -90N

Your answer is -90N
