Step-by-step explanation:

Let AB is height of pole of 24m and CD is length of building. The distance between foots of building and pole is 24m. The distance between their tops is 25m.

As I have shown in figure if you join A to E than AE will have length = BD = 24m

NOW IN RIGHT ANGLE ∆ACE

AC^2 = AE^2 + CE^2 (PYTHAGORAS THEOREM)

25^2 = 24^2 + CE^2

625 = 576 + CE^2

CE^2 = 625 - 576

CE^2 = 49

CE = 7m

Also AB = ED = 15m

SO CD = CE + ED

= 7cm + 15cm

= 22cm

CD = 22cm

So height of building = 22cm
