a 16 ohm resistance wire is doubled on it(a new identical wire is connected in parallel) calculate the new resistance of wire

By parallel method of Resistance..

We Can use the formula

1/R1+1/R2=1/R

Then

1/16+1/16=2/16

then R = 16/2

R=8 ohm
