R=s*l/a therefore if the length is (1/3)rd , then resistance will also be (1/3)rd

therefore, resistance of each resistor is now (1/3)*9 = 3 ohm

Now, these 3 resistors are joined in parallel. So total resistance =(1/3)*3= 1 ohm (ans)
