a 1m long nichrome wire has a resistance of 8ohm,what is the resistance of a 3m long nichrome wire of the same diameter

24 Ω

Explanation:

Resistance ∝ Length of conductor

∴If length increases the resistance also increases.

If,

1m : 8 Ω

3m : x

By cross multiplication,

x = 8*3/1

x=24Ω
