   {a}^{2}  +  \frac{1}{ {a}^{2} }  + 2 \\   {a}^{2}  +  \frac{1}{ {a}^{2} }  =  - 2 \\  by \: taking \: lcm \\  \frac{( {a}^{2} )( {a}^{2}) + 1 }{ {a}^{2} }  =  - 2 \\  \frac{ {a}^{4} + 1 }{ {a}^{2} }  =  - 2 \\ by \: cross \: multiplication \\  {a}^{4}  + 1 =  - 2 {a}^{2}  \\ rearranging \: the \: terms \\  {a}^{4}  + 2 {a}^{2}  + 1 = 0 \\ take \:  {a}^{2} \:  as \: common \\  {a}^{2} ( {a}^{2}  + 2) + 1 = 0 \\  ({a}^{2} + 2) + 1 =  \frac{0}{ {a}^{2} }  \\   {a}^{2}  + 2 + 1 = 0 \\  {a}^{2} + 3 = 0 \\  {a}^{2}   =  - 3 \\ a =  +  \: or \:  -  \sqrt{ - 3}  \\ a =  \sqrt{ - 3}  \\ also \\ a =  -  \sqrt{ - 3}

Hope this helps you mate......
