1/a=1/(√2+1)

Multiplying and dividing with √2-1, we get

1/a=(√2-1)/(√2-1)(√2+1)

=(√2-1)/(2-1)

=√2-1

Now a-1/a

=√2+1-√2+1

=2

now multiply with 2 as said in the question

2*2=4
