Answer:

For any line on a plane, its slope or steepness is given as

 \frac{x1-x2}{y1-y2}

So, Solving the same for lines AB and AD we get that AB is steeper then AD & since Point D streches further then B as is clear from their x-coordinate, line BC will intersect AD, thereby preventing any quadrilateral formation as can be seen in graph below..
