Answer:

Area of triangle =

 \frac{1}{2} [ x1(y2 - y3) + x2(y3 - y1) + x3(y1 - y2)]

If the area of a triangle is zero, then the points are collinear.

Given,

a(-2,5)→a(x1,y1)

b(8,-4)→b(x2,y2)

c(7,10)→c(x3,y3)

Area of △ABC

 =  \frac{1}{2} [ - 2( - 4  - 10) + 8(10 - 5) + 7(5 + 4)]

 =  \frac{1}{2} .28  + 40 + 63

 =  \frac{131}{2}

Hence the given points are not collinear
