Answer:
Given conditions ⇒
Mass of the Methanol = 64 g.
Molar mass of the Methanol = 32 g/mole.
∵ No. of moles of Methanol = given mass / molar mass = 64/32 = 2 moles
Mass of the Water = 126g.
Molar mass of the water = 18 g/mole.
∴ No. of moles of Water = 126/18 = 7 moles
Now, Total number of moles in a solution = No. of moles of Methanol + No. of moles of water.
= 2+7=9moles
Now,
Mole Fraction of Methanol in the solution
=No. of moles of Methanol/Total no. of moles in the solution = 2/9
