A 2 cm needle is placed 20 cm away from a concave mirror of focal length 10 cm. find the position, nature and size of the image formed.​

According to mirror formula

 \frac{1}{f}  =  \frac{1}{u}  +  \frac{1}{v}  \\  \\  \frac{1}{v}  =  \frac{1}{f}  -  \frac{1}{u}  \\  \\   \frac{1}{v}  =  \frac{1}{10}  -  \frac{1}{20}  \\  \\  \frac{1}{v}  \: =  \frac{2 - 1}{20}  \\ \\   \frac{1}{v}  =  \frac{1}{20}  \\ \\ v = 20

Size of image is equal to size of object

Image is real and inverted

Position = At 2f
