Ans-

mass of the object,m =2kg

Initial height h=10 m

K.E at the height 10m =0[object is at rest]

P.E at height 10m = mgh

                              =2×10×10

                               =200 J

P.E at height 4m above the ground= mgH

                                                            = 2×10×4

                                                            = 80J

As per law of energy conservation,

loss of potential energy= gain of kinetic energy

We say loss of potential energy because there  is decrease in height from 10m to 4m

 P.E_{Initial} - P.E_{final} = K.E_{initial}+ K.E_{Final}

 200 - 80 = 0 + K.E_{Final}

 Kinetic energy at height of 4m = 120 J
