I agree that social media has real anti-social effect.
A research conducted by the Kaiser Family Foundation based in the USA, noticed that individuals from the ages between 8 to 18 spend more that 7.5 hours on an average on these platforms. This certainly is a loss for humanity as the importance of face-to-face conversation and emotional support has started deteriorating. Another example that supports my view in regards to the statement is that these platforms also affect the style of writing of many teenagers as they acquire a link to explicit diction. This causes chaos in the lives of many as they have less experience in dealing with critical matters.
Moreover, the higher the usage of social media in an individual's life, the greater is the feeling of disconnection to the real world. Ironically, social media is promoting isolation rather than public integrity.
