Think of your audience: what grade are they in, what are their biggest problems, what do they need help with, what are they struggling with? What kind of guidance do they need? Kids in high-school often grapple with identity: who they are, what they want to do, following passions and the likes. Then there's peer pressure and wanting to have friends when you're so unsure of yourself.
If I had to give a motivational speech to high-schoolers, I would encourage them to learn confidence and perseverance. Take anything, no matter how small and try to to it the best possible way. That's how you build confidence. Also, they have all the time in the world to try things and see what they like, what they're most comfortable with. High-school doesn't teach you much, but if you pay attention you can pick up skills that are useful further in life. Don't worry about what others think, worry about how you see yourself.
