A 2_v cell is connected to a 1ohm resistor. How many electrons come out of the negative terminal of the cell in 2minutes?

Resistance=R=1 ohms

Time=2min=2x60=120sec

By Ohm's law : V=IR

⇒I=V/R

⇒2/1=2 A

Charge Q=Ixt

=2x120=240 C

But 1 electron has a charge of 1.6 x10⁻¹⁹ C

Hence number of electrons in 240 C charge will be :

=240/1.6 x10⁻¹⁹

=150x10¹⁹ electrons.
