20 m used to fenced . so perimeter is 20m. Ratio of dimensions is 3:1. therefore 3m and 1m. as rectangle have same length of opposite side.

therefore 3m+m+3m+m=20

8m=20

m=20÷8

m=2.5m

3m=3×2.5=7.5m

area of rectangle=l×b=2.5×7.5=18.75sq.m

Hello

Here is your answer

Ratio of dimensions of rectangular field=3:1

Let dimensions :

l be 3x

b be x

Length of the wire used to fence rectangular field=Perimeter of rectangular field

Perimeter of rectangular field=20m

2(l+b)=20

2(3x+x)=20

6x+2x=20

8x=20

x=20/8

x=2.5

Dimensions of rectangular field:

l=3x=3(2.5)=7.5m

b=x=2.5m

Area of field=lb

=7.5*2.5

=18.75m²
