KOLKATA IN THE GRIP OF FLOOD

Kolkata, March 4: Vast area of Kolkata continue to reel under devasting flood due to a depression in the BAY OF BENGAL , heavy rain fall has caused the rivers to swell and overflow their banks.Many embankments have given way under the pressure of water, about two hundred people have died so far due to drowing,snake bites and various water born diseases. There are so many chances to spread the diseases widely . so government take an immediate action to stop the widespread diseases. The rivers are flowing far above the danger mark . The flood situation still seems grain first aid while rest were hospitalised in a critical state . Traffic was disrupted for some times. As the local people flew into rage and staged a road blockade in protest against rush driving. Many political leaders came and visited the most effected Indian army ,and many NGO have started to rescue people. A heavy police picket has been posted to prevent any kind of unwanted situation. According to the prime minister's and according to the chief minister's order food perticles are distributed among the people who were depriving from loss of food. Government has announced to pay compensation to those people who were effected by high rainfalls and the flood .
