A 200g wt. solid block of aluminium (density Al=2.70g/cc) is placed in a breaker of water. the same is done in another breaker with a 200 g solid block of lead (density lead =11.3g/cc). compare the amount of water displaced by block of aluminium and block of lead .

Volume of block of Aluminium,V=mass/density

V=200/2.10=95.2
So,  Water displaced=Volume×density of water ×g
=95.2×1×980(1 N=10−5dynes)
=.93N

Volume of Lead block=200/11.3
=17.6Water displaced by Lead block=17.6×1×980=.173N
